Canned Soup Cook Book

Life’s essential contrast – a can of Campbell’s soup and an evening dress… hostess unafraid! (One of Charlotte’s favorite slides from her lecture on her latest book, Charlotte Moss Entertains)

Inspired by vintage Campbell’s soup ads and the dreary New York weather, we have turned to our old reliable recipes from House & Garden’s past for some ideas on how to spice up our warm, liquid diet for the winter! All these recipes are so simple, just another way to enhance a can of soup, and we couldn’t be more excited to try them out.

In House & Garden’s “Canned Soup Cookbook,” Myra Waldo writes, “If a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, then a soup in the can might be said to be worth two in the cook book.”

Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
