I love a mule for ease, openness and versatility…
In late 2021, Artemis launched a second collection of the Moss Mule in Suzani silks. Hand-embroidered silk masterpieces typically used for large wall hangings, pillows, and bedspreads, the Suzani used was handwoven by a women’s collective in Uzbekistan. These shoes are stand-alone works of wearable art.
The collection combines textiles that Charlotte has collected on her travels and in her work. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Ibu Foundation, an organization that provides women artisans the training and tools to become self-sufficient.
We loved working with Millicent to create a mule with a little court heel, just enough lift to elevate a pair of jeans, good with dresses, long summer skirts and, of course, caftans.
10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Ibu Foundation, a wonderful organization that provides women artisans around the world with the training and tools to become self-sufficient.
Recently the Ibu Foundation has been granting Emergency Relief Funding to artisans around the world facing extreme distress due to COVID-19. We are very proud to be partnered with them and Artemis to create beauty and give back.
